About me

I grew up in West New York, New Jersey. A little city in with the most perfect view of New York City. I've lived here all my life with my Mother, brother and 2 sisters. In my household my family was very close, which I believe is the reason why I am the person I am today.

After high school I was accepted to Hudson County Community College where I was taking basic classes to receive a general associates degree. In the midst of attending HCCC I decided to apply to Rutgers (which I was accepted) and I quickly transferred without receiving my associates. Due to financial reasons, after 2 years of being at Rutgers I transferred out to New Jersey City University. Here is where I declared my major in Early Childhood education with a minor in psychology. With that I'm currently in the process of pursing my degree in that field. Currently I've done things that pertain to the career that I have chosen. Which include Babysitting, becoming a Teacher's Assistant and most recently becoming a nanny.

I started gaining experience of caregiving at the age of 13. It began with my niece and I started working with friends that had families that needed a temporary caregiver. Moving forward a couple of years I became a teacher's assistant, which was certainly a lot different then just babysitting one or two children. I gained my CPR certification along with a lot of experience working as a TA at Apple Montessori and received a lot of training that I still make use of till this day. After parting ways with Apple Montessori I became a Nanny, which is my current job. I've used the skills I gained from working in a school system combined with the knowledge I've gained from attending school thus far.

Over the years and many experiences I've seen a unique growth in myself. I've gained an extreme passion for teaching and art which certainly motivates me to want to share that experience with everyone. Children are obviously the ones to face the future we provide to them, through the choices we make and paths we pave, our children will make their decisions but based on how we've taught them. I believe we are examples in their lives and our choices are guides for their future.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

a Preschool/Daycare teacher with my degree in Early Childhood Education.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

would have to be ART! I love teach the basics of painting to children because there is no right or wrong when it comes to painting. They are allowed to FREELY express themselves which is a great way for children at a young age to communicate, especially if they have trouble doing so.
