About me
I grew up in Boston, MA as the only girl with 3 brothers! Before I got into social work, I had acted for most of my life. When I turned 7, I took my first singing lesson and began my journey through community theatre and cultivating a confidence in myself. I highly recommend every child to express themselves through some form of performance at some point in their growth and development!
In college, I majored in Social Work. For my first internship, I worked with 2nd-5th grade refugee children from many different countries. This program was for resettled refugees who were trying to find a sense of community while maintaining their own identity. I made lesson plans for the students as well as helped them if they struggled with homework. I also met the children's emotional needs by listening to them when they cried, and also helping diffuse small fights between peers. I worked in a daycare throughout college in the infant and toddler rooms. I changed diapers, warmed milk and prepared food for the children. I also played with them and ensured that their safety was top priority. I babysat for a family on the weekends where I assisted in getting them to their extra curricular activities, as well as entertaining them at their home. After graduating, I began my position as a Case Planner in a Foster Care Agency in Brooklyn.
My experience in childcare is well-rounded, unique and packed with many skills and experience. I have seen and dealt with extremely intense and emotional experiences, and I did so very well. I am well traveled in the New York City Area, as well as I have traveled abroad to Europe, specifically much time in Spain and Italy. I used to be a performer when I was younger, so I would definitely bond with children who are excited about expressing themselves through art, music, and performance. I believe that I am a great advocate for myself and at any job I am working at.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants
- Toddlers

In 5 years, I hope to be...
in or completing Nursing school! I have always seen myself working as a caregiver in healthcare, and I hope to be able to achieve that dream of mine.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to sing and dance, as well as dress up and put on performances. Children are such sponges and absorb everything we do, so I like to model being a great self advocate, as well as a kind and empathetic individual.
