About me

I am from Palm Springs, CA where I lived with my parents, older brother, and two dogs and two cats! I knew I loved being creative and performing from the age of two when I started taking dance lessons at a local studio. I was lucky enough to have a mom as her First Grade teacher and have cherished a love for education ever since. I have always enjoyed finding books to further my studies and helping tutor other students after school. In high school, I was involved in a musical theatre conservatory, dance classes, swim team, Scholastic Decathlon, along with taking multiple AP courses. I recently graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Theatre and minors in Political Science and Musical Theatre from the University of Southern California (May 2020). I recently returned from a semester in London, where I was studying acting at the British American Drama Academy. Since graduating, I have been working as a nanny for a family in Brentwood, CA, and directing theatre (via zoom) in my free time.

I have been a nanny and tutor for many families over the past 8 years. I have experience with children from ages 4 months to 14 years of age. Most recently, I have been a full-time nanny to two boys, ages 2 and 5, for almost a year. In this position, I would assist the parents with daily household chores (dishes, vacuuming, tidying, etc), prepare healthy meals for the boys, help with clothing and grocery shopping, and have helped to implement a rewards/discipline program. I have also been a camp counselor at a theatre summer camp for 4 years, supervising over 200 children, ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade. Emily is trusted, loyal, and an experienced professional. She is CPR and First Aid certified.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the theatre and museums, yoga, playing music, and exploring. I am an avid Disney fan and also enjoy traveling and meeting new people. I love being creative and helping children explore the world around them in thoughtful and curated ways. Not the kind of person to sit, passively, I enjoy being on her feet and actively engaging in the kids' growth and learning.
