About me

My name is Marcella and I'm a singer graduated at Berklee College of Music. I'm also the 1st generation born in the US from a Brazilian family. The oldest of four, we were lucky to experience the culture from both US and Brazil.
I've been working with kids for over 15 years now. While living in Brazil I spent 3 years volunteering for non profits, where I got to work with children ages 3-17 years old. My experience got my college calling me to offer a work-study position at the Boys and Girls Club where I worked with kids age 10 and up for the whole duration of my studies (September 09' - December 12'). There, as a vocal and piano instructor, I would assist the kids with completing their homework before they were allowed to be part of any musical activity or lesson.
In New York I had to pleasure to also work for hotels with child care ages 3 months to 14 years old for over 3 years. I also worked as nursery staff for a Postpartum depression center for 6 months. Since then I’ve been working for private families both full time and part time positions depending on their need, with also helping out the children with their school work when in remote school days.
I love working with kids, introducing them to music whenever possible, and just interacting with them as much as I can. Whether that’s playing, helping out with school work, listening and comforting, I always do my best so I'm not just your "looking over" babysitter!
