About me

I grew up in Brooklyn all my life. I come from two immigrant parents from South America. I was the middle child between my older brother and my youngest sister. I have strong family ties and grew up learning to be as hard-working and independent as my parents. I started working as a babysitter in high school! It was easy for me to find work because my mother is a nanny working in Brooklyn. The first family I ever worked for had two girls, ages 4 and 9. I am still working with this family. It's been three years now. I would pick up the girls from school at different locations and bring them home to do homework or take them to the park to play. Getting home I made sure that the kids ate as well.
The second family I've worked for also happened to be two girls, ages 3 and 7. I would work for this family on occasions like date nights and sometimes weekdays after school. I would often take one of the girls to her swim class. When I babysat for date nights, I would watch educational TV shows with the kids make them dinner. We would read the books until they went to bed. Just in time for the parents to come home! I have also worked with infants before on date nights, making sure the infant was asleep before the parents were home.
I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I love reading and am currently a full-time college student pursuing a career in speech therapy. I am hoping to work with kids! The thing I love most about my job is how much children shape you. I love getting down to their level and it easy for me to do!
