About me

I was born and grew up in Philippines in a laid back community where we used to plant organic vegetables and raise our own chickens! My siblings and I are six children of the Velasquez matriarch, 4 girls and 2 boys. Four of us are here in the USA. I graduated from college at the University of the East at Manila Philippines in 1990 and landed a job soon after at Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company as a teller. I was then promoted to branch operating officer in 2000. I was married in December 1992 and two children.

In 2002 my family and I migrated to the USA. I started my first job as a personal assistant in New York in 2003 and worked as a bank teller at night. In 2005 I finish my licensed practice nurse course and got my NCLEX licensure in 2008. I started my journey to becoming a baby nurse, newborn care specialist, and nanny in 2005 and since then I have enjoyed taking care of children and get to experience the joy that comes from spending time with kids. What a wonderful opportunity to see them smile from the day I start caring for them to the day they start walking and talking and becoming smart kids!

I having experience taking care of children with special needs and and medical challenges. I find great pleasure in helping them with their needs. Being around kids gives me self-fulfillment knowing that I am able to help them grow and nurture their potentials.
