About me

I grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, but being the daughter of a Navy family, I was no stranger to moving around. From ages 5-9, I had the incredible fortune to move to London, England and get a wider view of the world at a young age.

Having an older brother, I grew up playing baseball as much as playing Barbie. But ultimately my favorite activity was performing. This took me through years of training - all leading me to pursue a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 and started working professionally as an actor.

Since moving to New York City in 2014, I've traveled around the country performing at different theatres. I have even performed with Disney Cruise Line and traveled all around Europe! On the cruise ship, I interacted with children of all ages and went above and beyond to make sure their smiles had a little extra pixie dust. Working for a company like Disney, I was held to exceed standards in safety, leadership, efficiency and hospitality.
While acting professionally, I’ve also helped run theatre camps for kids ages 6-17 and love leading the kids in creative theatre games. My greatest enjoyment is seeing the growth in a child from day 1 (when the nerves usually take over) to the final show of camp and witnessing that same child beam with confidence as they stand center stage!

Within my 7 years in New York City, I've experienced many different nannying opportunities: From weekend babysitting to after school pickup, as well as full time infant nannying, with children ranging from 5 months to 15 years! I have skills in meal-prep, diapers changes, basic first aid, bath time, cleaning, and excellent time management. With a creative personality and a Type A mindset, I love a crafting project just as much as getting the homework done and house tidied before parents get home. I am very good at communicating with parents about what the priorities are of the day and scheduling accordingly, while letting the time between be open to paper crafts, baking and dance parties!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

furthering my skills in the performing arts through experience and possibly looking into a masters program in either acting or vocal technique. I'd love to teach in a collegiate setting while working professionally during the summers. I believe it would be a wonderful balance of a more grounded life in education as well as continuing my own experiences professionally.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

anything active, creative, and full of imagination! Having a performance background, I like to share that with children in the forms of games, living room dance parties, and even creating our own shows! I played softball for 8 years and enjoy a good hike, so being outdoors and getting the blood pumping is very important to me. I love to play catch in the park, set up obstacle courses, and teach new physical and fun activities.
