About me
Hi! My name is Riki! I grew up in Norwalk, CT, I have four siblings ( two brothers, two sisters, I am the 4th child), and I enjoyed musical theater, playing in the orchestra, helping out at my mom's daycare, and participating in sports as a child. I graduated from Nyack College in 2014 with a BA in psychology with a focus in Vocal performance. Since I have graduated I have been traveling and singing and dancing, working on an album, and taking jobs in daycare centers, homes, and non-profits that help support the needs of children.
I have been working with children for 7 years now. I have worked with infants, K-5, and high school students. I have worked as a live-in nanny, an infant/preschool teacher, a teaching artist, a children's creative arts counselor, and health coordinator. In my experience with infants I would change diapers, warm bottles, make breakfast, lunches, and snacks. I would read books, create lesson plays, sing songs, play games, create a sleep/daily schedule, and do arts and crafts. For my position as a health coordinator with high school students I would schedule one-on-one counseling sessions with obese clients. Set smart goals with them, work out with them and teach them nutrition lessons, we even built a garden to start eating our own food! I am also CPR/First Aid certified, and recently became certified as a therapist to work with Autistic children!
