About me

I was born in Guyana and migrated to Brooklyn, New York at the age of three. I grew up with a babysitter as my mother had to work two jobs to maintain the household. I fell in love with baseball, swimming and cycling. I graduated from Francis Lewis High School and attended LaGuardia Community College, where I earned my associate degree in Science. I then decided to attend Apex Technical School where I earned an advance electronic degree.

I was the first born and have two other siblings, who I helped raise. I spent my high school years assisting family members and babysitting as needed. I then started working at an after-school program, where I would assist with homework, snacks, activities to keep children entertain until picked by parents. I also assisted in the daycare program where I assisted with 6 months + as needed. This was definitely a learning experience for me as it helped me with my babysitting.

The phrase “helping others/children” really resonates with me. It reminds that in order to provide a better future, we need to give back to those in needs. We have to be the teacher that is needed for our next generations in order to see improvements. My goal is to help children create a more loving and peaceful world for all of us. To assist them in making better decisions, to incorporate critical thinking In order for their betterment. By showing love, by caring and being empathic it will show children that the world can be a better place and a better future.
