About me

My name is Abaigael McMahon, I am 26 years old!

I have a bachelor’s degree in music therapy. This degree has taught me about child development and allowed me to become flexible and adaptive in even the most intense circumstances. My internship was at a hospital and I did music therapy with children in the pediatric unit and in the child psychiatric ward.

I have many years of experience with children. I have worked with children doing group and solo music therapy sessions. I worked as a leader at a child’s music class center, and doing private music classes. I’ve also been a nanny/babysitter in both long term and short term settings. I have worked as a teaching assist in a Montessori school and have some early childhood Montessori training. I’ve worked with children from infants to 13 years. I am also currently applying to an early childhood education Master’s program (birth-2nd grade).

I am a creative and fun loving person. I love using Montessori materials to help children learn life skills and applying the Montessori method while caring for children. I play many instruments and love to use music as a fun activity. I enjoy doing art, science, and cooking projects with the children I work with and I find such joy in helping them to grow and learn!
