About me

I grew up in a town in Western North Carolina along with my little sister, who is eight years younger. As a child, I quickly grew fond of the arts after watching a local production of the musical Annie. At the age of nine, I began taking classes at a performing arts studio where I learned that I could pursue acting as a career! While finishing up my last two years of high school, I took classes at the local community college, which led me to receive my diploma and Associate of Science on the same day! After graduating, I got the opportunity to teach at the same performing arts studio I had studied at for the past nine years. I moved to NYC at the beginning of 2021 to pursue acting, and I’m so happy I did!

I've been working with children since high school. I started out babysitting and tutoring. Then, my senior year of high school, I taught ballet, tap, jazz, and Kindermusik five days a week to children ages 2 to 18. My first job in New York was tutoring two third graders during their remote learning school days. I managed their tasks, curated extra lesson plans, and took them on outings during their breaks. Once school went back to being in-person, my next jobs were nannying. I've worked with two families regularly with additional babysitting gigs on the side. I started with the first family when their son was a year old and now he is three! Duties included changing diapers, prepping meals, feeding, tidying up, and of course, entertaining. He loved to go on outings to playgrounds and museums. Kid's grow up so quickly and I've been able to witness that with this child. Now he is potty trained and learning so much in preschool! The second family I've work with regularly has an 8 year old boy who I nannied for a year and a half. I would pick him up from school, and from there, I'd take him to playgrounds, soccer class, etc.

The most rewarding thing about working with children is watching them progress while in my care. It warms my heart when a parent tells me how much their child looks up to me. I’ve learned that if I set a good example, children will follow me. That is a big responsibility and I'm happy I can make an impact on a child's life.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love it when I see that a child loves to sing and dance around their house, because I do it too! The teacher in me always tries to ignite their love for learning. My travels have taught me all about different cultures, so I love to pass the torch to children and get them interested in learning about the world. I also love science and history, so if we go on an adventure outside, I like to throw in some fun facts. Most importantly, I'm all about embracing a child's talents, so I choose to incorporate what they like as much as I can while we're together.
