Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
There are many activities and skills I love teaching and sharing with children. There are many important ways ythat I can teach children how to be creative, sociable, and healthy through simple play. The activities and skills would depend on the ages of the children. It’s good to remember that doing everyday things, playing simple games, and simply interacting with the children including teaching and helping development. Loving the children in my care and experiencing the world with them. Very young children enjoy seeing and hearing books over and over again. I would encourage the baby to look at the pictures and touch the book. I would encourage a baby to imitate gestures by playing games like peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake. I would point out the names of things in the picture books and ask the child to point to them. Babies at the age of 6-12 months observe objects via their senses. They become incredibly interested in toys with bright colors and various textures. Especially if these toys also make a noise. With toddlers keeping activities short but regular is perfect for a toddlers development. Turn on beautiful music and dance with your toddler. Different kinds of music will encourage different movements. Toddlers love to throw and kick balls. Play dough helps develop both coordination and fine motor skills. Drawing with crayons is a wonderful way of developing skills. Toddlers love to build towers, Young children love to copy others and to dress up. They love to play with toys that allow them to copy household activities. Outdoor Activities, go bird watching, observe the birds colors, size, and behavior. Listen to it’s song and watch how they fly. Take a stroll with your senses, young children can gather acorns, pinecones, and colorful autumn leaves. Bring the outdoors in. Trips to museums and center centers. A trip to a berry farm, apple orchard, or a pumpkin patch. Teaches children where produce comes from. Gaze at the stars, even toddlers will enjoy gazing at the moon. Celebrate the sunrise and sunset, it happens everyday! Cuddle up with a pile of lovely books. Draw pictures, Balance games, Have a dance party, go for a visit to the library, do puzzles, play pretend kitchen, make believe act out a storybook, arts and crafts, make a puppet show, make a nature table, color and draw, get lost in building Legos, having adventures in the park, tell each other lots of stories, playing sports, bike riding, playing with friends, cooking and baking for older children.
