About me

I primarily grew up in Austin, Texas, and was lucky enough to travel extensively and live in other countries during my formative years. This opened my mind to many different cultures and ways of living, offering me an education and understanding of the world around me that I wouldn’t have been able to gain in a traditional school setting. After finishing high school in London, I attended the Music Institute in Los Angeles, then moved to New York where I currently reside.

For the past 8 years I have worked as a nanny—working with infants to 13 year olds and every age in between. For me, it is about connecting with a family and being the right match for each other. I love babies and children and coming from a large family myself, caretaking is second nature to me. After seeing parents struggle with the emotional and physical toll of having a new baby, I wanted to be a support for families during this transitional and sacred time. I decided to become a Postpartum Doula to better assist them in anyway I can, such as providing deep emotional support, helping with breastfeeding challenges, finding babies' sleep schedule, cleaning bottles, preparing homemade baby food, tidying up, changing diapers, helping set up a nursery, finding resources for family, and nourishing the birthing person so that they can better care and bond with their newborn.

Because I was Montessori schooled, I favor intimate play and learning opposed to an over stimulating environment. I feel that this foundational philosophy has helped me with a greater understanding on how to connect and cater to the unique needs of younger aged children. I enjoy stimulating children's minds through playing, talking, educational learning, cooking, tidying, and creative projects. I truly feel fortunate and proud of the children I have cared for in the past.
