About me

I grew up in Chicago and ever since childhood I loved being a helper with my other siblings. I have five siblings and I'm a middle child and my favorite memory is my mom and dad saying I'm a joy to be around. My middle name is after my grandma Corrine who is considered the most kind hearted person in the family. I graduated college in 2013 with honors. I received an general degree at Harry S. Truman college. Since graduation I've been working in early childhood development. This includes being an after school teacher, working as a Program manager at Lasalle elementary , recess coaching at several school and babysitting on the side for several families. I love babysitting the most because I get one on one attention with each child outside of a school.
I've worked in early childhood education for a total of five years. The first school I work at was Oscar Meyer elementary and I worked with ages three to six because there was a preschool included in the school. My job included making fun organized play and helping kids in an out of the bathroom. In the afternoon I was their after school teacher and I did this job for three years. After that I helped the older children in after school only from ages seven to twelve. I enjoyed teaching them curriculum and helping with their home work. Which was similar to my early morning program at Lasalle my second year into working with preschoolers. As a Program manager I ran a program with over twenty-five kids from ages five to twelve. The fun part of working at Lasalle was helping the kids use critical thinking skills to work together as a fun group. I made sure all decisions were decided on as a group for years and it was fun watching the kids go from grade to grade and even graduate from Lasalle elementary. The organization I worked for even allowed me to babysit the kids outside of school. My favorite babysitting experience was watching Xavier for a whole week while his parents were in France. I've known him now for two years.
My motivation is being a helper. I love the instant gratification of making children and parents happy. I love the joys of teaching the younger generation.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Someone who impacts lots of families in a positive way. The hero of babysitting.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to paint, draw and cook. I'm not the best at sports but I enjoy playing games with children. Some times they love winning and don't mind me losing. I love most of all showing kids how to believe in themselves.
