About me

I grew up in Westchester, New York as the middle of three sisters. As a child I loved art and animals, and still do! After graduating from Amherst College in 2016, I worked at a treatment center for new and expecting moms experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders for three years, and am now planning to begin doctoral studies in school psychology in 2021.

I began babysitting in high school and continued through college and beyond. I accrued extensive experience before college and over summers as a date-night babysitter for several families, and when I moved back to Westchester after graduation, I was able to return to many of these families as a more frequent sitter/nanny. I worked for one family in particular for nearly two years as an after-school sitter, managing homework, after-school activities, dinner, preparing school lunches, and light housework. I also worked with many other families at this time on an as-needed basis, with children of varying ages; this included supporting a 13 year-old with homework completion and evening supervision, as well as routinely caring for a 10-month old infant (requiring warming bottles, baths, diaper changes, and adhering to sleep routines). Across most of my roles, I have managed the needs of multiple children at once. I have also taught violin to elementary-aged students and completed a full-time teaching internship in a fifth-grade classroom. I am certified in infant/child/adult CPR.

My experience working with children and families as a babysitter has informed my interest in and path towards school psychology. I am committed to providing a supportive and boundaried environment for children as a caretaker and future psychologist. My goal as a babysitter is deliver consistent care that parents can depend on, and ensure that children feel safe and secure!
