About me

Hi hi! My name is Kelcie, and I am 23 years old. I am a Pennsylvania native and moved to the city when I was 18 years old. Since moving to New York, I have worked wih a number of different families and have come to know and love the chaos of nannying in such a crazy, diverse, and colorful city. I am well versed in the many different facets of childcare, and take pride in my ability to adapt to whatever situation and schedule each individual family may have. I am actively working with the following families throughout multiple boroughs:

I have been with the Alexeev/Averill family in the Upper West Side since April 2019. The boys, Nikki and Peter, are currently 8 and 11 years old. I am with their family a few days a week after school for pick ups and various after school activities through out Manhattan.
Since July 2021, I have been with the Gu/Liang family in the Upper East Side who have 2 and 4 year old little girls, Claire and Ellie. I work with older one a few afternoons a week doing educational activities and lessons, working on varying subjects from math to english, etc.
I began working with Neptune/Valbrune family in the Bronx in December 2020. My schedule with this family varies by the month, but I often am with the 9 and 13 year old brothers, Yanic and Max-Andre. When we first worked together, much of it was remote schooling supervision and help, so I have been with and adapted with families through the various stages of quarantine and the unique challenges COVID created concerning schooling.
The last family that I work with consistently, the Thiessen family, also live in the Bronx. For date nights and random afternoons, I spend time with creative little 3 year old Dylan, who is nonverbal and autistic.

I love reading, learning about history, and keeping active and creative. Spending time with children gives me so much joy, and I acknowledge and pride myself on the fact that I play a big part in the shaping of each child's emotional growth and in their passions and knowledge. It is important to be not only their caretaker for their well beings, but also being a positive source for encouragement and affirmations. I am a big believer in the idea that every little thing matters, no matter how big or small. That philosophy is incorporated into my approach with childcare. I strive to make every child I work with feel seen and heard, and remind them of their importance and things that they can accomplish.
