About me

I am originally from the beautiful island of St.Kitts. I moved in the year 2000 to New York City, and after finishing high school, I began working with children. It was at that point I discovered my passion to nurture, teach and make a positive impact on the lives of our little ones.

After working several nanny positions, live-in and out, in 2009 I got a job at the Nurtury Montessori School as a floater then soon after I was promoted as an assistant teacher. Based on my natural desire and passion for children, I was selected to take the Montessori training. In 2013 I was a Certified Montessori Infant/Toddler Teacher for AMS- American Montessori Society.

This experience was just exciting because I got to learn a lot about child development, pedagogy, how to interact and communicate with families and it was just awesome.

I was responsible for record keeping, classroom management, staff training, parent/teacher conferences, upkeep of the classroom, communication with families, newsletters and making sure the children were comfortable and safe.

Working with children is such a joy and I’m happy to be part of their lives. I’ve work with over 50 children in my life and I’ve loved every experience because I learned something new every time....as they grow so do I
