About me

My name is Sarah, and I was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. I have two sisters who I consider my best friends! Growing up as a child, I really enjoyed my summer vacations and visiting family. We did a lot fun things such as playing tennis, camping, drive-in movies, hiking, to say a few. I went to school at Hudson County Community College and I majored in Early Childhood Education. My degree is still in progress. I plan to continue my education in that field because working with children is my passion. I have worked in many child-care settings such as public schools, daycares, and children's indoor playgrounds, hosted children's birthday parties, and worked as a nanny.

I am CPR/First Aid Certified and I have been working with children since 2012. I have worked with newborns up to 13 years of age. At the beginning of 2017, I landed a full-time nanny position. I nannied for a 3-month-old baby girl named Anna and a 3-year-old boy named Jimmy. Their mother would drop Jimmy off at school, and she would work from home most days. My daily responsibilities included following a strict nap and feeding schedule with Anna, changing diapers every 2 hours, and going out for walks when the weather was decent. During nap time and whenever I had the chance, I would clean the house. I would prep and serve Jimmy snacks and dinner when he came home from school. There were times I would be responsible for picking up Jimmy along with his baby sister as well. I would help Jimmy with his lessons and read books and do arts and crafts together--we always made stuff out of cardboard boxes!

I am also a mother of two beautiful children. I have a five-year-old daughter and a one-year-old baby boy. I love being a mommy! They are my motivation to pursue my dreams as an Early Childhood Educator!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I would love to teach children how to draw simple things. I would love to be able to teach children how to be creative and make arts and craft projects with recycling products such as cardboard boxes, empty towel rolls, etc. I would love to do activities with children that would be beneficial to their fine motor, gross motor, cognitive development, and social and emotional skills.
