About me

Hello! My name is Madeline and I have worked with children in many different capacities for the last 10 years. I worked at a Child Development Center in Richmond, VA on and off for about 7 years, working with children anywhere from infant to 12 years old. I worked as a floater, as a co-teacher in the 2 and 3-year-old rooms, and I was the drama teacher for all of the school-aged children after school, as well as the homeroom teacher for the 5th graders. I was in charge of various lesson plans and activities, including writing and rehearsing musicals with children of all ages for various talent shows and performances for parents. I've also worked as a nanny for 2 girls, ages 7 and 11, over one summer as well as part of the school year. My duties including taking the girls to and from swim practice, providing general supervision and imaginative play, helping each child with their music lessons for guitar and piano and voice, and doing light meal prep as well. Aside from all of this, I've also been an on-call babysitter for many families with anywhere from 1 to 7 children. I am also the oldest of 4 children, and I helped all 3 of them learn and grow when I lived in my childhood home. I just love children of all ages!
