About me

I was born and raised in Downtown Manhattan as an only child. My childhood apartment doubled as my Dad's photography studio and I was always helping with his shoots and creating my own projects with a Polaroid. My Mom always had stacks of boxes filled with art supplies that I would get into, and usually create a huge mess that she thankfully appreciated. As a super animated kid, I began to take classes at TADA! Youth Theater which eventually led to my pursing a career in theater. When I was fourteen I was on Broadway in the musical "13," and continued to audition professionally. I went to Pace University for Musical Theatre and have been pursuing my acting career since I graduated in 2016.

I have been babysitting for over 10 years in the city, and I'm so grateful for the tools and joy it has given me. I have been a date night and as-needed sitter for over ten different families with ages ranging from one to ten. My most consistent experience has been as a part time-babysitter for a family with two children. When I began they were ages one and four, now they are newly six and almost nine! Over the years I have helped with changing diapers, potty training, school transitions, homework (K through Third Grade), reading, cooking and other daily needs. Most consistently I was in charge of after school pick up, to and from activities and nightly routines. When we had the full day together we would go to the park, zoo, museum, sprinklers, learn to ride bikes etc. I have developed a deep and personal relationship with my kiddos and have stayed in touch after their move, as they begin an exciting new chapter!

As a performer and artist, I can't help but incorporate my passions into my time with children. Not every kid wants to sit and draw, and thankfully artful expression is so much more than just one medium. I always try to approach life with the intent to create joy and expand creativity. It's important to me that I am always listening and growing from the kids I get to spend time with. Clear communication and positive affirmations have been really helpful tools for me when working with kids, and I always hope to encourage laughter and mutual understanding between us.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Continuing my higher education and pursing a degree in Arts Education. I see myself doing more than performing with my passion for theater, and I hope to merge that with my other skills. I also hope to have traveled a lot more and possibly live in another country!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to draw, paint, collage and brainstorm new creative art projects that are led by them. I get stuck in creative ruts sometimes and kids always seem to come up with a new idea I hadn't thought of. I'm always game to be really silly and put on plays and dance around. I'm a very active person, and love spending time outside when we can. Beyond all of the fun we can have with art, reading, dancing etc. I also want to encourage sharing and communication skills.
