About me

I am a graduate student of Manhattanville College with a master's degree in music education and a bachelor's degree in music education and creative writing. I have ten years of past nannying experience and I have been working with children for thirteen years. Growing up I held a lot of responsibility in raising my brother due to our home situation. My mother worked a lot of the time and so I helped take care of my sick father and brother who has ADHD and struggles with anxiety and depression. This taught me a lot about how to work with children individually to address the needs of each child. I have worked with many children with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities and feel comfortable working with children of all ages and abilities. Teaching is my passion and I love to include education in my childcare when appropriate. I am also comfortable caring for pets in the home and doing meal prep. I have experience working with many children at a time, as I used to be a teacher in charge of 10 students. I have additional interests in sports and music and often tutor in both academics and music. I love tutoring because I am able to see children develop and rise to their potential with each session. I was the captain of my school’s rugby team so I am confident that I can keep up with your kids all day without tiring! I work well with adults and can adapt to different parenting styles. I am responsible, flexible, and creative, and I’d love to help you out.
