About me

My name is Emily and I am from Long Island New York. I am a college student who is currently majoring in Creative Writing and Elementary Education. My goal is to be a Special Education Teacher for Early Childhood or Elementary School Students. My hobbies include dance, gymnastics, art, writing, and baking. I love working with children and that is why I am pursuing a career in education. I have been taught as a child about the importance of hard work, responsibility, and passion in terms of the commitments I make whether it is professional or personal. This is why I am successful in the field of education and in working with children because I bring all these qualities and more when I commit to anything I set my mind to.
I have predominately worked with children from ages 2-13 as well as children with Special Needs. I have experience with a variety of ages and disabilities in many settings such as a classroom, as a gymnastics coach, as an assistant dance teacher, babysitter, and much more. My skills include cooking, baking, dance, gymnastics, tutoring in any academic subject, basic American Sign Language and much more. The philosophy I have when it comes to children is that they learn through experience and guidance. I work with children almost everyday and it is truly a passion of mine!
