About me

My name is Huxley, and I am a nanny and theatrical clown! I have a BFA in Drama and a minor in Applied Theatre from NYU Tisch. I am originally from Texas and am the oldest of three children. As a child, I spent most of my time daydreaming and engaged in imaginative play. I loved to play outside, do arts and crafts, and perform for my family. As I got older, I loved caring for my siblings and the children of family friends. This love of childcare has only continued to grow!

As an NYC caregiver, I have had the pleasure of working as both a full and part-time nanny, and as a teacher! After graduating college, I began working with the New York Kid's Club, assisting with their Storyland Adventure camp. I then grew with the company to become a Pre-K teacher to a lovely group of 3-year-olds. In addition to Pre-K, I also taught gym, STEM, and art classes, working with ages 11 months to 6 years old. Outside of Kid's Club, I worked as a Curated Care Kid Expert, providing creativity-based care to children ages four months to 14 years old. My duties have included taking children to and from school, classes, and extracurriculars. I am also experienced in conducting bedtime routines, including bathtime. I have experience planning schedules, activities, cooking/meal-prep, bottle, and toy sanitization, running errands, and assisting with potty training. I spent a Summer working as a Full-Time nanny to a lovely West Village family with two boys starting ages four months and 2.5years old, and loved the unique challenge of catering to the two age groups. Most recently, I spent a year and a half providing after-school childcare to an incredible Hell's Kitchen family (starting ages 3.5 and 4.5). While I no longer work for the family, I am lucky enough to still be a supportive adult presence in the children's lives.

I am passionate about treating children with kindness and respect, and I love helping children learn how to communicate their needs and emotionally regulate. I pride myself on my patience, and my ability to cater the care I provide to meet each individual child's unique needs.
