About me

I grew up in Montgomery, NJ. I have one sister who is 3 years younger than me. Growing up, I enjoyed doing gymnastics and dance. I also have been working in childcare ever since I was young. At 13 years old, I would babysit my sister, neighbors and my little cousins. I've always enjoyed caring for those who were younger than me. Throughout high school, I worked as a gymnastics coach at a recreational summer camp. I absolutely loved helping young gymnasts with their skills while making sure they were having a fun time! I also volunteer tutored for underprivileged children, helping them with reading and writing. After high school graduation, I attended Raritan Valley Community College, Rutgers University and The Fashion Institute of Technology. Throughout college, I continued working as a babysitter for many families part time.

I then followed my dream of moving to New York City. When I moved here, I knew that I wanted to continue working with children because it was what I was passionate about and familiar with. The week I moved in, I started an after school babysitting position with a family who I still work for now on occasion. I used to pick the children up from school, play with and entertain them, bring them to activities and play dates, prepare dinner and help with homework. I have also had a few other part-time nannying positions including caring for a toddler. My daily activities with her included playing with her, bringing her to Gymboree, walking her around the city in the stroller, preparing and feeding her lunch, changing diapers and putting her down for her nap. Occasionally I would watch her and and her 5 year old sister when school was out or at night. In addition to my consistent part-time positions, I have worked date nights and occasional weekend jobs for many families.

I absolutely love working with children and caring for them. I love seeing them grow and learn. I take my position in childcare very seriously because I know how important it is for a child to feel safe and loved no matter what.

In 5 years I hope to be still working with children and/or married with my own children. I also would love to publish a children's book about my dog exploring New York.

Some activities and skills I love to teach and share with children are gymnastics, art (I'm not the best artist but I love doing crafts), reading and writing. I also love bringing children to places around the city like museums and parks!
