About me

I grew up in Vermont, which nurtured within me a strong sense of community and adventure. As a youth, my time was split between the local bookstore and biking through the town and woods. As the eldest of several cousins and a baby sister, I had the opportunity to come up with a lot of games and activities for us to play. Later, I was accepted to both the AVPA (Visual and Performing Arts) and STEM Academy in high school, even interning at IBM and building robots at Stanford for a summer. I studied International Relations at Manhattan College before finding my passion for Theatre & Acting.

In college, I had the privilege of working as part of a small team of Family Arts Instructors at Wave Hill in Riverdale. We developed programs and themed activities for 200+ families each weekend. I continued to work with children by babysitting for a multilingual family, whose 4 year old now speaks 3 languages; she also spent a lot of time moving with me and now loves to dance! Moreover, I temporarily nannied for several families as well, ranging from ages 1 to 6; I'm able to bond with and pick up routines quickly while making it fun. During that time, I also worked as a Kids Club associate at Equinox (ages ranging from 6 months to 12 years old). My most recent position, were with 1 and 4 year old boys and a 7 year old girl, with full-time working parents. I did school pickups in their car, meal prepping, diaper changes, nap time, homework, lunch/dinner, and even Chinese lessons with them. Certifications incl: CPR/First Aid, Trustline, Food Handler.

Children are so full of possibility and hope for the future. I love empowering them to pursue their interests and seeing where they'll go. I'm thankful to hear that the seeds I've planted during both short and long-term periods with families are still blossoming, whether it's in new interests, ways of thinking, or how they treat others for the little ones. My goal is to be an open communicator with the parents and be a patient, positive force on this journey.
