About me

I grew up alongside my sister and brother in beautiful Denver, Colorado. I got the showbiz bug at a very young age and was a bonafide band geek/choir nerd/thespian throughout my entire academic career. I graduated from the University of Michigan where I earned a BFA in Musical Theatre. I've been working in the theatre industry professionally for 20 years, and working with children has been a substantial part of my career.

As a childcare professional, I worked with a boy from ages 6 through 12. I picked him up from school every Thursday, took him to all his after school activities, played soccer in the park with him, gave him guitar lessons, and guided him through his piano studies. I worked with another young boy for about six years. I picked him up from school every Tuesday, took him to all his after school activities, tutored him on his homework, cooked dinner for him, read books to him before bedtime, and even co-wrote a few songs and built a few forts with him.

Being a performer, I'm naturally very engaging and high energy when it comes to working with children, and I'm a firm believer in positive reinforcement.
