About me
I grew up in a very artistic household in the suburbs of Chicago. My three siblings and I were all heavily engaged in the arts as children. Whether it was my brother practicing his cello, or my sister choreographing a dance routine, our home was always overflowing with artistic expression. I began performing in professional theatre productions in fourth grade and with my parents continued support and encouragement, eventually went on to attend New York University Tisch School of the Arts to study acting. Since my gradation, I spend my time auditioning for upcoming projects, working as a host at Heyday, and playing with my adorable dog, Teddy.
As an older sibling, I have been taking care of children from a young age. I remember watching my neighbors after school starting at age 10. As I got older, I developed more professional relationships with various families in our neighborhood by supervising children ages 3 through 16. My responsibilities included picking them up from school and driving to and from after school activities, preparing dinner, helping with homework, putting the children to bed, feeding and walking the dog, and organizing the home. On occasion, I was responsible for staying with the children overnight while parents were out of town. My experience in childcare extends past part-time babysitting, as I have worked as a camp counselor, private audition coach, and swim instructor for children of all ages. While working with children, I like to keep them creatively stimulated and engaged. I often bring my acoustic guitar along and sing/write songs with them and play musical games. My acting training over the years provided me with an endless supply of silly activities and games to entertain for hours. While working at TWIG Day Camp, I developed original science, creative writing, and arts & crafts lesson plans.
With a strong ability to think on my feet, I am always ready to dive into a creative activity. A babysitter should be an extension of the parent, providing the same care, support, and supervision while the parents are away. I am fully prepared to provide this level of care and am excited to get to know your family!
