About me

I’m from Pittsburgh, PA and grew up with one older brother. I remember asking my parents for a younger sibling many times as a kid, but settled for playing with baby dolls and taking care of our dogs. As I grew, I started putting on shows for my dolls and realized my passion for performing. As soon as I was old enough, I started taking care of real children and fell in love with babysitting. I found ways to mix my two loves by singing and dancing with little ones to keep them entertained and happy. I graduated from Belmont University with a degree in Musical Theater and Dance in 2019. Since then I have worked as a professional performer but have continued babysitting for families when given the opportunity.

I worked as a full-time nanny for three lovely kiddos aged 6, 8, and 10 for a summer. I drove them to and from activities, took them on outings, fed them meals, and entertained them five days a week. The 8-year-old has autism, so I gained experience with providing the best care possible to children with special needs. I babysat part time for another family with an adorable 6-month-old. I fed him lunch and a bottle, held him while he napped, engaged him with toys, and changed diapers for about three hours 1-2 days a week. I have also held the titles of dance teacher, camp counselor, after school enrichment teacher, and a part-time sitter for two childcare companies. I am CPR and First Aid certified and autism trained.

I love sports (especially baseball), but I also love taking time to unwind by playing board games and building puzzles. I never yell, always facing challenges with warmth and the intent to understand. I discovered that childcare and performing in shows are very alike. They require the same amount of energy and both hold the challenge of keeping an audience entertained. The audiences look a bit different, but the biggest difference is depth of connection. In performance, the connection made between actor and audience can be small and fade quickly. Through childcare, though, connections between families and sitters can run deep and last a lifetime. I look forward to having the chance to create these lasting bonds with you and your kiddos!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching children all sorts of activities and skills. One of the most rewarding experiences is being a part of a little mind understanding something new for the first time. Something specific I love to share with kids is dance and music, because they are both so special to me! I also love teaching kids how to handle difficult situations. I think it's easy to forget that problem solving is a skill, so I like to approach it as such.
