About me

I grew up in the Bay Area in California with two sisters, 4.5 and 5.5 years younger than me. I started dancing at 3 and was instantly in love. I played soccer and softball as well, but had to give them up when dance became my priority. I was then introduced to musical theatre in middle school and that was it. I continued with dance and musical theatre throughout high school and then graduated from CSU, Fullerton with a B.A. in Dance. Since graduating, I have been working professionally in theatre all around the world. Integrating my passions into babysitting is always fun, whether it is us putting on a show, singing songs, or dancing all around the house.

I started formally babysitting and nannying in 2014. I have worked for many families as a full time nanny, part-time sitter, date night sitter and overnight sitter. I have watched children ages 6 months to 12 years with families with up to 3 children. With the 6 month old I was preparing bottles, sticking to her feeding/nap schedule, and guiding her through milestones. The 9 month old had a whole new set of milestones with pulling herself up, starting to walk, and then climbing on everything. I have also co-potty trained two toddlers at age 2.5. Very different in their processes, but both successful. I have also helped a 5 year old go from falling behind and dreading school, to finishing his kindergarten worksheets by himself and feeling so confident. In addition to young ones, I have also cared for elementary and middle school aged children, assisting them with homework, taking them to and from activities and helping them navigate all the changes that come with getting older. For the families I've worked for, I have made and prepped food, washed dishes, done laundry, and straightened up the house. I have also worked as a tutor for middle school kids and a summer camp counselor in upstate NY.

I think it is important to keep children engaged in different activities both physical and intellectual. I am big on structure while also understanding that children need room to make their own choices. No matter the age, I love being around children.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love getting outside into nature whether that's a walk, playing at the playground, having a picnic running in the grass or just enjoying the fresh air to and from activities. Arts and crafts including painting, water colors, drawing, collages, 3D art with string, puff balls, and beads. I love puzzles. Of course singing and dancing and putting on shows. I really like cooking/baking with kids and getting them involved.
