About me

I am a born and raised New Orleanian. I am the youngest of 4 blood-related siblings, with 6 step-siblings. As a child, I loved talking, singing, and dancing. I would be the last person at the family dinner table, not because I didn't want to eat, but because I was talking so much; I simply didn't have time to eat! I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Louisiana State University in May of 2015. The following August, I moved to Paris to be an au pair and lived with my host family until August of 2016. Since returning to the states, I have worked as a part-time and full-time nanny, in restaurants, and in film and television production while pursuing a career in acting.

During my stay in Paris, I cared for a 12 year-old girl and 9 year-old boy. I picked the boy up from school and escorted him to his after school activities. I cooked dinner for the children every night, helped with homework, and ensured they were bathed and ready for bed. After returning to New Orleans, I nannied a 12 year-old boy that was enrolled in an immersion school. I picked him up from school, spoke French with him for at least an hour, helped with homework, escorted him to extracurricular activities and chaperoned social activities. I frequently stayed with this child over nights and weekends, and nannied for him when the family travelled. Soon after, I found a full-time nanny position with a family that was expecting their third child. I cared for the newborn and his 2 year-old brother in their home. I also cared for their 3 year-old sister when she returned from school. In this position, I worked closely with the mother, assisting her with bottle and baby food preparation, bathing the children, grocery shopping, organizing the children's closets and drawers, helping with their laundry, as well as various other organizational tasks around the house.

I am a passionate and playful person that can't help but let those qualities seep into everything I do. Organizational tasks bring me an inordinate amount of satisfaction. My childcare philosophy focuses on acknowledging children's depth of emotion, and encouraging their development as unique individuals.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching children how to cook and bake, as it's something I really enjoyed learning from my family as a child. I love to go on walks and do puzzles with kids. I also love doing silly voices and playing pretend. One of my primary focuses in my undergraduate education was accents and phonetics, which came in handy for teaching French children proper pronunciation in English and vice versa.
