About me

I grew up in a small town outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. I grew up with three older brothers so that makes me the only girl and the baby! I started dancing at the age of two and assisted teaching when I was twelve. I assisted the toddler classes and helped teach the little ones how to summersalt and jump up and down to their ABC's. This is when I first realized I loved working with children. I've taught and nannied children of all ages. I began teaching at a young age and I got to use my imagination to teach them their right from their left and how skip across the dance floor. It's one of the most fulfilling things to see a child's face light up when they finally get the hang of something.

I met a family with 7 year old twin girls at my dance studio. Our relationship grew from there and not only was I teaching their girls to dance, I began private lessons with them and then became their nanny. I would watch them after school and on the weekends and eventually travelled to competitions with them. They became family and we still keep in touch twelve years later. I have also worked as an after school nanny for an 11 year old in California. I drove her to school in the morning, picked her up, prepared a healthy snack and dinner. We made sure to finish homework and chores before her mother returned from work but always had time for arts and crafts. My most recent family had 2 young girls. The younger needed help potty training and the older attended Montessori school twice a week. I arrived in the morning before they woke, was in charge of all meals, took them to parks, the zoo, museums, and made up activities to keep them occupied throughout the day.

I love working with kids and the families each hold a place in my heart. I value being active and creating a positive atmosphere for them to feel safe and creative.
