About me

I am a full time college student and an on call substitute teacher. I love working with children. They motivate me to look at the world through the eyes of a child. I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Early Childhood Education concentrating in birth to second grade. I have obtained my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Throughout the years I have had the pleasure of being an infant nanny for over a year. I have also worked with the elementary school age group and interned at various public schools. Additionally, I worked with unaccompanied minors as a den mother. This was by far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. My greatest goal is to make a difference in children’s lives. Childcare is truly what I love. Growing up, I had babysitters that didn’t seem to be in it for the right reasons. I joined this field because I want to be different and represent that I do genuinely care about children.   

I can prepare meals, do laundry, help with bath time, put the kids to bed, and help with homework. I am a certified Mandated Reporter in Child Abuse and Maltreatment, in Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Managing Challenging Behavior and several others.

I work with infants to toddlers as a Daycare Assistant Teacher. I also work with preschoolers to preteens at a foster home. My duties are to observe and monitor children's play and activities. I sanitize toys and play equipment and maintain a safe play environment. I also keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered. I communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and any related issues.
