About me

I’m an educator, writer, and musician with ample experience teaching and caring for children and adolescents of all ages. I graduated from Wesleyan University in 2017 with a BA in English.

I started tutoring preschool and elementary school students when I was a teenager, prompting an enduring passion for education. In addition to holding afternoon and night-time babysitting jobs, I’ve worked extensively in schools, after school programs, and summer camps. I particularly enjoy teaching the arts—writing, theater, music—and love getting creative with kids.

Growing up with an older brother on the autism spectrum, I was immersed in the neurodiverse community from a young age. I volunteered at a theater program for children with special needs throughout my teenage years, and since then, I’ve worked with kids and teens with a variety of challenges (and talents!). I have a deep respect for each child’s unique personality, interests, needs, and strengths, and I always adapt my style accordingly.

I love babysitting because it allows me to really get to know a child in a way that's difficult to do in larger group environments. Whether the child has an interest in sports or the arts, Legos or the MTA, I always enjoy entering entering their world and delving into their passions alongside them.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Writing and teaching and maybe living on a commune.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Music, reading and writing, arts and crafts, card games and board games. I love getting outside with kids, exploring the neighborhood, visiting the local library, or spending an afternoon at the playground or park. As an experienced teacher and tutor, I can also help out in the homework department.
