About me

Growing up I enjoyed playing Barbies, dress up, and making up my own little worlds in the backyard. I went to a community college on a Vocal Music and Academic full ride scholarship where I received an Associate in Arts. After community college, I attended Wichita State University where I studied Musical Theatre and Dance and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts. Throughout college, I had the joy of teaching dance at a few different studios in the area. Since graduating, I have moved to New York City to pursue a career in the Musical Theatre field. All of my experience creating theatre lends itself to my ability to entertain the children I am engaging with; I have a lot of energy and creativity to share!
   
I have been providing care for children since I was 14 years old. Most of my experience is with children under 5 years old, including one boy from 5 months to 3 years old, and, here in NYC, with four different families ranging from 11 months to 5 years old. I've taken care of bottle feeding and solid foods, bedtime routines, going to the park and engaging in creative play, and light housework as a date night and occasional sitter. As an after school nanny, I've also helped with school pickup, snack time, and using the subway to visit museums and go to activities. I am CPR certified through the American Red Cross.
   
I am a person who truly enjoys the creativity and joy that children bring to any situation. I love to play imagination based games with the children I am caring for as well as have dance parties, do arts and crafts, and cook together. I believe that acting through love is the only way to truly connect with any person of any age.
