About me

Hi! I grew up outside of San Francisco, in the Bay Area, California. I have one younger brother and was often told to "stop trying to be the parent". Sorry, little brother! I grew up singing any time I could, and started performing at the age of 5. As I grew up, I continued to advance into more professional theater and followed my dream of moving to New York to pursue an acting career. I graduated from NYU with a degree in Vocal Performance for Musical Theater, and loved every second of it! After graduating, I joined the national tour of The Sound of Music, and enjoyed nine months on the road, traveling all around the country and into Canada. Since returning, I have been auditioning, nannying, and training as much as I can.

While in California, I worked with a family who started with one toddler, and had two by the time I left! I also worked for almost 5 years as a lifeguard and swim teacher to all ages (even grandmas!), though I came to be known as someone who specialized in the younger ages and new swimmers. I also helped with drama camps and summer camps, and really enjoyed teaching various ages. Once here, I worked with families with kids ranging from 3-12, before traveling to Austria and Greece with two separate families as their sitter. The kids were 2 and 5 in Austria, with an 8 year old in Greece, and I spent many hours dancing, playing in parks, and trying to figure out street signs with them. Back in New York, I have worked with a family of another 8 year old who loves dress up, teaching me about the history of fashion, and building Barbie houses. My most recent work has been with a family of a little girl, who I began watching at around 6 months. She is now 2, and as she has grown, we have spent many hours together in various classes, visiting many parks, and reading together. It has been a joy to watch her grow and prepare for preschool!

I believe that every child wants to know that they are loved and that they belong. It's my goal and hope that every child I work with knows that they are, and that they have another person in their life to talk to, have fun with, and share time with.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years I hope to be working in the entertainment industry in a more professional way. I love what I do in theater, and hope to also expand into TV and film. I know that the entertainment industry is so unreliable, but I hope to cultivate momentum that allows me to move forward while keeping my roots in this amazing city.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I'm always happy to sing, dance, and explore with kids! I love museum days or art days, park days, and anything that makes a child feel like our time together is special.
