About me
I am a writer/performer/teacher with a passion for childcare! I’ve been with Smartsitting since the fall of 2019 and have so enjoyed working with and learning from amazing kiddos all over the city. As a babysitter, I have several years of experience working with children ages 1-14. With school aged children, my responsibilities have included planning activities, meal prep, tidying up, bedtime, going on outings, and doing pickup/drop off. As the long term caretaker of 1.5 year old twins, I gained experience preparing food, changing diapers, playing in the park, helping with basic hygiene, playing silly games, and facilitating naptime. I am invested in creating safe spaces for children of all backgrounds. I have experience working with LGBTQ+ youth, kids dealing with anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and differently abled kids. Starting this fall, I will also be acting as the Mental Health Advocate on Smartsitting’s first ever Diversity Board. I am always thrilled to learn how to best meet your child where they’re at.
In the past, I've really connected with families who are looking for a caregiver that can also act as a tutor and activity leader, especially in the arts. I've been an academic tutor for high school and college students, and I have four years of experience teaching music, comedy, theater, and writing at multi arts summer programs for children ages 7-15. The elementary aged students I’ve worked with are a brilliant, curious blast. I’d be so excited to adapt my skills to work with your kids on academics. I’m happy to help with all subjects (especially writing, reading comprehension, creative work, and general organization), and I’m glad to offer whatever interpersonal support your child may want or need.
As a young person, my teachers and childcare providers gave me space to be the most authentic version of myself. I am passionate about being a cheerleader for the full selves kids are learning to express, just like my caregivers were for me. My greatest joy in childcare is collaborating with families to offer the support kids need to thrive not just as young people, but as individuals.

In 5 years, I hope to be...
Working on stage and screen projects that offer perspectives usually underrepresented in the entertainment world. Also, I hope I’ll continue to be a part of an ever expanding, reciprocal support system of artists, friends, and family!
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love coming up with creative projects to do! Some past favorites have included playmaking, zine making, fiction writing, singalongs, screenwriting, and choreographing dances. I have experience teaching writing and comedy to children, adolescents, and college students. I love tailoring my teaching skills and project ideas to kids I’ve gotten to know well through sitting! I am also a trained musician -- I took eight years of jazz piano growing up, and I was lucky enough to study jazz vocals at Berklee College of Music’s summer program and in private lessons in Oberlin Conservatory’s jazz vocals program. I am also self taught guitar, bass, ukulele, and drums. I love making music with kids, whether it’s leading a band, having a singalong, teaching a few chords, or jamming out.
