About me

I am a native New Yorker who has been performing since the 4th grade when I realized I adored theatre. I started dancing at 5 and even before that I was singing in the church choir. With this, you already know almost all you need to about me - because building a career and life within the arts industry is one that teaches determination, patience, teamwork and loads of compassion. Growing up in Westchester with my younger sister, I attended dance classes and was a part of anything arts related in school; the spring musical, band, chorus, dance team - the list goes on and ON.

After graduating high school I attended The New School and graduated in 2014 with a BFA in theatre. Between producing my own university productions and taking classes I also worked closely with one of my mentors as she went to various schools throughout the city to expose underprivileged students to the arts. Which brings me to what I've been doing for the last couple years post-graduation! When I'm not traveling across the country performing professionally I am a babysitter and teaching artist, having taught within my childhood school district and expanded my knowledge and experience with childcare.

I have always been the resident babysitter within my family and close friend circle so my experience with children is second-nature. When I was in high school I was leading classes of as many as 20 3-year-olds, guiding them, teaching them new dance techniques and developing their motor skills. During those summers I was also a camp counselor, playing and engaging with large groups of children as well as helping them to build their own confidence and skills working within a team. I have experience working with children from infant - seniors in high school and caring for multiple children at once outside of the classroom as well since I have started babysitting on a more professional level. When working with the families I have had the pleasure of meeting throughout the last few years I have prepped and fed children meals, changed diapers, warmed bottles, played, and given personal living room dance lessons - I strive to understand each child personally so I can provide the best most tailor-made care that I can.

My mother has always loved and excelled at working with young people, a fact I know has inspired me greatly. I think my artistic perspective connects with children, I love to draw and play fun, educational games with them and love being able to see them express themselves. They have such wondrous imaginations, it's amazingly rewarding to tap into that and watch them grow.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Married, on Broadway and / or performing somewhere in some capacity, in a financial position to invest / give to more important causes, living in my dream apartment!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Working well with others - extremely useful skill in all aspects of life Communicating / explaining yourself well - it could be that I'm just talkative but I think so many of life's issues could be solved through proper and logical communication. Building Blocks / Puzzles - children love legos and honestly I find it therapeutic as well. Plus the look on their faces when they've built / put together something to their liking is priceless.
