About me

I was born and raised in Southern California. Like many, I knew at a very young age that I wanted to live in New York City. I worked hard throughout my teen years and received several academic scholarships to attend St. John's University in New York. I graduated college in May of 2013, receiving a bachelor's in Communications and Minor in Business. Since graduating, I have had experience in several creative industries such as film and art. I love the world of storytelling to inspire the young people I care for. In the fall, I will begin her first creative writing program for children ages 11 and under.

With over 15 years of childcare experience, I began this journey at age 11! I was the youngest Lifeguard and Junior Swim Instructor to be hired at my local aquatics center. I fell in love with teaching life surviving skills. To help financially through college, I was hired as a swim instructor for Imagine School of Swimming during the fall of 2011. Through this opportunity, I met countless families in the New York area who needed additional childcare services. I have experience with part-time and full-time help, including everything from cooking light meals to snack prep, taking children to activities/athletics, weekend overnight stays with more than one child at a time, handling infants as young as 6months, tutoring lessons with 11-year-olds, diaper changes, park trips, swim lessons, reading lessons, writing lessons, travel with children, etc- you name it. I also have vast experience with children who have special needs or need medicine at particular times of the day. My patience and nurturing nature mixed with her efficient time management skills enable me to handle any situation at any given time.

I also has an intense passion for the arts. One of my strongest abilities is to engage those I caretake through creative problem-solving. I understands every family and child are their own unique story. I hope to create a positive, nurturing, and professional environment for every family who chooses to hire me.
