About me

From a young age, I have always had a love of engaging with children through creative art. I served a leadership role in my church’s children’s choir and as a camp counselor at a children’s theater camp. I am a graduate of NYU, where I majored in Drama and studied music theater. At NYU I started teaching, interning at a high school in Manhattan & a nonprofit theatre company for underserved girls in Brooklyn. I used theater exercises to empower students to open up, connect with one another, and unlock their creativity. Those internships, coupled with child development classes, led me to complete a minor in Applied Theater.

My experience caring for children of multiple ages and needs have shaped me into a sitter prepared for virtually anything. I have worked full-time at a daycare, responsible for up to eight two-year-olds at a time, leading them in mealtimes, play, music circle time, nap time, and guiding them along in their potty training journey. That experience made me extremely comfortable catering to multiple toddlers’ needs in a chaotic environment! Here in New York, I have cared for children of all ages: a 3-month-old and his elementary school-aged siblings, a 6-month-old and the family’s large dog, and families with siblings aged 3 to 9-years-old. My background in theater and comedy has shaped me into a caregiver who values fun, creativity, respect, communication, and safety. My favorite things to do with children are creative play, whether it be making up and acting out elaborate stories, making up songs, doing crafts, or reading books in funny voices. I’m an excellent cook with a passion for healthy whole foods. I love preparing nourishing meals with children. I have found that even the pickiest of eaters have a great curiosity in their food, and preparing meals or simple snacks together empowers them to make choices about their food and expand their palates.

In my opinion, the greatest part of being a caregiver is witnessing children's wonder and inquisitiveness. I work with patience, joy, kindness, and sense of play as I help them explore their world and learn new things. To be even a small part of a child’s development is a privilege!
