About me

I grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago with my younger brother, mother, and father. As a child, I enjoyed playing outside, learning to cook/bake, and making up and practicing song and dance routines. I moved to Tampa, Florida where I attended the University of Tampa from August of 2012 to May of 2016. I graduated with my B.S. in Criminology and I minored in Psychology.

After graduating college, I went on to work for Bay Area Youth Services (BAYS), where I was a case manager for a Juvenile Diversion Program. I loved this job but decided to take an administrative position in June of 2017 while trying to figure out what career path I wanted to pursue. I am currently enrolled in an online master’s program and expect to graduate in December 2021 with my Master's in Mental Health Counseling.

In November of 2018 I began nannying for 6-month-old twins and in February of 2019 I also began nannying for a 1.5-year-old boy. Before these positions I have been a full-time or part-time babysitter or nanny for three other families and an occasional/date night sitter for many families. One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is being able to watch the children grow and learn. I have even had the opportunity to be a part of their learning process and experiences and it never ceases to amaze me. Some duties I have taken on throughout my years of being a nanny or babysitter are: changing diapers, making bottles, bottle feedings, introducing solids, planning and preparing meals, laundry, grocery shopping, excursions (parks, museums, aquariums, etc.), stroller walks, pool supervising, and arts and craft planning.

Throughout my years of childcare experience and experience with children through my job as a case manager and internships I have truly learned how much children can teach us as adults. As an adult and caretaker, I always have the children’s best interest at hand and want them protected and safe at all times, but I also embrace the moments where I can take a step back and learn something from the children.
