About me

Born and raised in Chicago, I have always been a city girl. I have a sister, Kailey, who is 3 years younger than me, and one of my best friends. We were very active, creative kids and loved anything that utilized our fantastical imaginations. Whether it was playing dress up and choreographing extravagant dance numbers, building incredible forts in our dad's yoga studio, or pretending that we were children with magical powers in our backyards, we kept ourselves very busy. I moved to NYC to study Musical Theater at NYU, and while I have been actively pursuing a career as a performer, nannying has been a great creative supplement to that work. I love utilizing my background in theater and music to engage and inspire creativity with kids!

From a young age, I was seen as a responsible and reliable caretaker. I started babysitting in Junior High, and childcare remained a huge part of my life ever since. Overall, I have worked with many children ranging from newborn babies to 13 years old. As a highlight, my longest relationship was with a family of 4. I started doing date nights for them in college when they had 2 sons, ages 2 and 5. This consisted of feeding them dinner, reading bed-time stories, and making sure bed time routines were successfully completed. When I graduated, the Mom gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Often I was with just the twins or just the two older boys on evenings and weekends to give the other parent a break, but I would also do date nights with all 4 on my own. With the twins, I fed them, bathed them, changed them, read to them, and put them to sleep from the time they were born until they were almost 2. The older boys, I picked up from after school activities, helped with homework, meals, and took them to parks, museums, and restaurants. Also, I have experience navigating the city with children on foot, by subway, in cabs, and driving other people's cars.

This past year, I started working with The Story Pirates Acting Company and at the Children's Museum of Manhattan. Each job has allowed me to combine my love of theatre and music with my love of inspiring kids creatively. I bring this same inspired creative mentality to babysitting.
