About me
I am thrilled to be back in New York pursuing my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Long Island University Brooklyn to become a Child Psychologist and make learning and playing with children a lifelong pursuit. Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up dancing, reading, and drawing and first came to New York as an undergraduate at NYU.
As the youngest child in my family, from an early age I wanted to "flip the script" and care for others. I began regularly babysitting in high school and I have continued to pursue childcare and education positions. For over 2 years, I worked in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis, teaching language, social skills, coping skills, and school readiness skills through play to children with Autism and developmental disabilities. I have cared for children ages 1.5-12 years of age, working long-term with toddlers and elementary-school aged children, and serving as an after-school pick-up nanny, dinner maker, errand runner, date-night sitter, camp counselor, elementary school teaching assistant, and more!
When caring for children, I love getting kids active with imaginary play, games, arts and crafts, and reading to children. With children I am calm, playful, and adaptable. I see every interaction with a child as a chance for discovery, growth, and fun!
I have professional child care experience with...
- Toddlers
- Preschoolers
- School-aged (K-5)
- Preteen
- Special Needs
In 5 years, I hope to be...
A child psychologist!
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love arts and crafts projects including making play dough at home, card-making, collages, and more! I also love to share new library books, songs, and games with children.
