About me

I grew up in Connecticut with my parents and older brother. Despite being the youngest, I consider myself to have responsible-older-sibling tendencies. Growing up, my neighbors took note and I began babysitting in middle school. I’ve worked with kids in a number of ways since my pre-teen years. I've babysat for many families, with children ranging ages two months to fourteen-years-old. In addition to supporting families, I taught music grades PreK-8 for over ten years in NYC Public Schools.

I've worked with families all over Brooklyn and Manhattan. Most recently I was an after-school sitter for a little boy, age five. I picked him up from his after-school program, commuted via the MTA back home or to an occasional after-school activity. Once home, I'd handle snack, provide homework support, and engage in activities to support his OT treatment plan objectives. I prepared dinner, followed by bath and bedtime followed with many books beforehand! Previously, I sat for a family with two girls, ages ten and twelve. We commuted from school to various activities and then back home by subway, on foot, and by car. I helped with homework, cooked for the entire family, tidied up, and assisted them in their musical endeavors. I had a similar prior to that for two boys, ages seven and nine. My first babysitting job in the city was with a family with a three-year-old girl as an after-school and date night sitter. My time as a sitter has included work with a variety of special needs, dietary restrictions and family dynamics.

I believe all children are born with a curiosity to learn about the world around them. I find joy in helping them harness that wonder into lifelong and self-directed learning. I am a responsible, passionate childcare provider, dedicated to helping every kid feel cared for, comfortable, and content.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I would love to have kids of my own within five years!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to do hands-on activities with kids, from cookie decorating to science experiments. I like to encourage kids to stay active by bringing them to the park or playing games and sports that they enjoy. More than anything, I like to find what interests them and help cultivate that passion further.
