About me
I grew up in Houston, Texas and spent most of my time playing outside and playing pretend! I loved using my imagination my whole life and spent a lot of my childhood putting on shows for my parents and their guests. I was exposed to many different cultures and ways of life growing up and value diversity and equality because of it! I graduated from Belmont University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entertainment Industry Studies with a minor in Religion and the Arts. I moved to NYC from Nashville a month after graduation and have been loving it!
I have been taking care of children for as long as I can remember. I started babysitting in late middle school for the girls who lived across the street, and in high school started babysitting for many families in my community. I was pick up kids from school and drive them to after-school care, make snacks, put children to bed and feed them dinner. I gained experience with infants in late high school when I started watching a 3mo old baby for a mutual family friend, I would feed her and warm up her bottle and changer diapers, make sure she was well-rested and happy by the time mom got home! I continued with this family once they had their second and would watch both children on date nights. Once I moved to Nashville for school I had a few consistent jobs, one with another 3-month-old girl who I watched from 8 to 5 two days a week, another position with an 8-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl who I watched from 9 to 4 two days a week and would take to play dates and activities, and another for a 6 mo old boy who I watched for a few hours once a week until he was 2, and another for a 9yo girl, 6 yo boy, and 5 yo boy who I picked up from school 4 days a week, made snacks, and took to various sports practices and made sure hw was done and all kids were entertained and happy. I love to play music and sing with the kids, I speak mid level amount of Spanish, and have plenty of games up my sleeve since I spent one summer working at a Show Choir Day Camp where I was a counselor for a group of 3/4th grade girls. I love to get creative and do crafts and put on shows with the kids! I love to play outside and take them on walks.
