About me

With a kindergarten teacher as a mom, and a younger sister whom I adore, my family has always been centered around care for children and I've been lucky enough to learn a lot of lessons regarding child care while growing up. I started officially babysitting around the age of 13, with some neighbors in our town growing up, and as I got older I worked with some families that my mom knew as a teacher.I also worked as a dance teacher assistant at dance camps at my local studio, which would mean I would work to assist teacher and work with kids all day long during summer camp, modeling good behavior and really bonding with all the campers to make sure everyone was staying positive and happy.

One I graduated high school and left for college, I would come back during the summer and work as a dance camp teacher and coordinator, leading a lot of camp classes and activities, and making sure always that my campers were safe, happy, and having a good time. One particular summer, I worked at an intensive six-week program as a Group Leader, responsible for a group of twelve kids with no dance experience while they navigated an intense camp focused on the arts and personal and emotional development.

I think children are often the most brilliant and insightful people in the room. I really appreciate their curiosity and perspective, and I also have a sense of true pride being able to watch a child or student learn and grow. It's really rewarding for me to see how much a child can discover, which is why I love teaching and working with kids.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Dancing on Broadway is my current dream right now, but I'm always aware that my plans and goals can change. More than anything, I just want to be happy and loving the life I live.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I have a lot of experience teaching dance to children, so I do love teaching movement and dance to kids. When you give a space for kids to dance and move to music, it's impossible to not feel a sense of joy
