About me

Hi! My name is Brynn. I have been caring for children since I was about 14 years old. I am the second of four children in my family and the fifth of 21 grandchildren on my mothers side! Needless to say, I grew up surrounded by children. Throughout high school, I worked at a children's theater camp, which gave me the chance to work with kids ages 4-13. There I learned how to entertain and educate large groups of kids as a solo instructor. From this point on, caring for children has been my primary work outside of theatre, which I studied in college.

I love the chance to be around children because they embrace an uninhibited sense of play adults tend to lose. It is endlessly fascinating to see the world the way children do while I get to spend time with them. I love babysitting and caring for children because not only do I have the opportunity to tap into my love of play and pretend, but I get to offer my perspective, life experience and personal way of handling the challenges of life and interpersonal relations as an example to the children. I believe it is important for young people to interact with others outside of their immediate circle and develop the skills necessary to handle new people and new circumstances as they journey through life.

My attitude towards life is that while is is essential to have purpose and goals, we must learn to laugh at ourselves and find joy in every little thing. This is something I really try to impart on the children I have the chance to get to know. I hope that with each child I spend time with, I not only help them have fun and contribute to their success in daily activities, but that I leave them with the experience of getting to know someone else's perspective and the ability to view the world in a positive way.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I like to get kids moving and promote a healthy and active lifestyle. I love music and love to sing and listen to music that brings kids joy. I also love comedy and love to laugh. One of my favorite parts of working with kids is finding a shared sense of humor and making each other laugh. I enjoy finding ways to make necessary routines and activites fun too.
