About me
I grew up as the oldest of three siblings and many cousins, which is definitely where my love of childcare started! I am very close with my family, so I got to spend a lot of time taking care of the younger kids. I would eventually go on to teach children in a variety of capacities! Youth work and childcare has truly been a lifelong love.
I am from Minnesota and moved to New York City to pursue theatre. When not at auditions, I take lots of classes and also spend time with the amazing network of friends I am finding in this city. I work as a manager at a boutique fitness studio and I love my team there! I also love to read, to be outside, to travel, to box, and to write.
Since moving to the city, I have had the absolute privilege of babysitting a range of children. I babysit an infant who was no older than 3 months old when I started, as well as an adolescent about to turn 13, and every age in between! I have loved my time with all of them. These children keep me playful and hopeful, and I am consistently astounded by the kindness of the families letting me into their lives and homes. It is an incredible gift I do not take lightly. They are brilliant and kind, and their families have welcomed me so fully. It is a dynamic I so appreciate. In turn, it is essential for me to ensure that a child knows that I both like and love them. I believe it develops a trust, a respect, and something of a friendship that can make any exchange we have so much more meaningful. I hope to infuse that kind of warmth into every interaction I have with a child.
