About me

As a born and raised New Yorker I’ve gotten the best of both worlds. I grew up upstate loving the outdoors and yet was always in the city until I permanently moved here six years ago, making me very city savvy!

I started babysitting in middle school for my next door neighbor. They had three kids: a 1-year-old toddler boy, and a girl and a boy who were both elementary school age. In high school, I began to babysit for more families around town. I also became an assistant for the middle school drama club, which is when my love for passing on my knowledge as an actor to the next generation began. Also in high school, I was a tutor for kids as young as elementary school age to those in the same grades as me.

When I entered college, I became a part time babysitter for a family that had one 3-year-old boy. I stayed with them for the next five years until they moved across the country. Through this five year relationship, I’ve become a big part of their small community in Sunset Park. I’ve babysat for several of their friends (same age range) both as a playdate as well as a fill-in babysitter. While babysitting for this family, I picked up part time work with other families across Manhattan to fill out my schedule. I was an after school babysitter for a girl aged nine, an occasional date night sitter for a family who had a young 1-year-old boy, and a part time babysitter for a family who needed help potty training their almost 2-year-old son. I also worked for a temp agency filling in for families who needed last minute babysitting help. I've worked with infants to teenagers with the agency. I’ve been babysitting for over eight years with kids as young as six months old to preteens and teenagers. I also have experience with special needs, specifically autism, anxiety, and ADHD. Additionally, I also worked for the Wildlife Conservation Society as an actor/educator performing in the Main stage show at the Bronx Zoo traveling to various zoos and perform in educational shows, and helping out with camp programs (ages 4-12).

I am a very active and stimulating babysitter. I love to play dress up, have dance parties, and get my hands dirty on the playground.I love engaging kids in educational activities in a fun way, so they don’t even realize how much they are learning in the moment! Throughout the five years working with the Wildlife Conservation Society, I truly went to every corner of the five boroughs seeing everything this city has to offer and all the different children who inhabit it.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I hope to be more established as an actor, creating my own opportunities as an artist while still being able to extend my skills and attention to inspiring those younger than me to follow their dreams no matter the circumstances. I still see myself living in the city and hopefully having the opportunity to travel every once in a while (especially internationally) performing in shows!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love encouraging children to read! Growing up I loved to read and it definitely fostered my love for acting. Reading can be fun especially when we do it together, putting on different voices for characters or even acting out a portion of the book. When kids are younger, such as infants and toddlers, hearing and watching a book come to life is a great way to stimulate their minds and when they are older, reading out loud really expands their vocabulary and imaginations. I am also a big believer on respect, manners, and independence. There are easy and simple ways to incorporate these values in our every day adventures!
