About me

My name is Noah and I'm a native Upper-West-Side-er. I recently moved home after graduating from Northwestern University, where I studied theatre, dance, and music. Given that I've never let my inner-child out of my sight, caring for and teaching children has been a constant in my life. As a nanny (manny) and babysitter, I have experience looking after kids from the ages of 1 to 17. I also have experience working with children as a camp counselor, homework helper, workshop leader, and guitar teacher—including extensive work with children on the autism spectrum and with other developmental and cognitive differences. Functioning in these roles has required me to be good cop, bad cop, mentor, teacher, confidant, and friend. I pride myself on being able to flow between such roles to provide the families with whom I work what their child needs on a given day.

When I'm not babysitting, I'm auditioning and performing as an actor, dancer, and musician. Creating my own work is a passion of mine, and I love to encourage and explore the passions of any child I babysit. I'd be happy to bring an instrument or two to play and, if they're interested, even teach! That being said, I also grew up as an athlete and would enthusiastically play any sport or nerd out over match statistics.

My two greatest passions outside of the arts are astronomy and cooking. I worked as a host and telescope operator at Northwestern's Dearborn Observatory for 3 years, often working children's birthday parties and lecturing to younger audiences and classrooms. As a cook and baker, I have a drive for experimenting with flavors and making preparing food a fun, communal experience—one I'd be happy to share with a child!

One of my main drives as an enthusiastic educator and caretaker is to never talk down to children—no matter their age. By meeting them eye-to-eye, I hope to foster a deep, authentic connection with both the child and their family.
