About me

Connecting with children brings me a great sense of purpose and joy. I am very enthusiastic in guiding and helping kids learn about the world. I create a safe and secure environment that still allows kids the freedom to play, make discoveries, and develop problem-solving skills. Being able to positively contribute to a child’s growth is incredibly rewarding.

As an actor and writer, I enjoy sharing my love for storytelling with kids. I often engage in creative, fun activities that stimulate self-expression, from dancing to art. It is vital to nurture the boundless imaginations that children possess. Developing the imagination is key to paving the way for healthy social, emotional, and intellectual growth. I embrace their curiosity and fresh ways of approaching the world. Children constantly inspire me to stay present and be open to learning.

I have worked with numerous families and have experience babysitting/nannying a variety of ages, from babies to teenagers. I worked occasional babysitting jobs throughout middle school and high school. In my senior year of high school, I worked as a mother’s helper, watching the baby while the mother engaged in other tasks. In college, I worked as a teacher’s assistant at a summer school in Maryland. There I assisted with instruction of Art and English classes, tutored students in reading and writing, graded assignments, and ran a study hall period. I worked with 6th graders, 7th graders, and kindergarteners. In 2018, I worked as a part-time nanny for a 4 year old boy and his 7 month old brother. Since graduating college, I have worked other frequent babysitting jobs. From 2019 until the present, I have worked with a family with a 5 year old girl (since 5 months old) and 3 year old boy.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active outdoors, reading, and photography. I have lived in New York for twelve years and embrace its vast culture. I love exploring museums, parks, restaurants, and theatre. I am also passionate about mental health advocacy; starting September '24, I begin graduate school to obtain my MSW.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to engage in age-appropriate improvisational games. Using elements from my background in theatre is a great tool when working with kids. I have a silly sense of humor and an animated personality, and I love playing off of their energy.
